How it works:

The easiest way to understand E-Mapping is to examine a working example.

Within our E-Parking system the portable device sends the GPS location every 30 seconds via AJAX to the E-Mapping server where it records the device id, date time, longitude and latitude.

Using the back office side of the system,  staff can pin point and fence each car park.  This enables the mobile device to download the locations list at the start of the day so that the device can automatucally tell the operator that they are at  designated site.

Having collected the GPS readings, office staff can then look up the current location of  a device or team using the device and be able to see the route taken.

The advantage to the parking company is the when their client queries the companies attendance at a site the audit log will show the exact time operatives were patrolling the clients site.

While E-Mapping can be used standalone it can also be integrated into your web application and it's Javascript library allows you to interact with the mapping component. (see E-Mapping application development section).
